Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro: dusting off a solid cellphone at an entry-level price

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G wants to seamlessly continue the successful series of affordable and high-quality smartphones. All in all, it works pretty well, although not much has changed from the predecessor. There’s a 5G network now, but Wifi 6 is still missing – and Bluetooth is still stuck on an older standard.

The Snapdragon 695 installed in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro offers a solid performance that can cope with all tasks, and the working memory is also sufficient with 6 GB. The 6.7-inch screen offers superb images – even at 120 Hz. The camera, on the other hand, is only partially convincing, because during the test of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro we missed some details in the recordings. The battery lasts a very good 13:11 hours.

Our conclusion at the time of the test:

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a mid-range smartphone and shines in the test with its excellent battery and high-contrast, color-intensive 120 Hertz display. The performance is solid and more than enough for everyday use. With 5G, the equipment is increasingly up-to-date – however, compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G does not have IP certification. Photo quality is at a usable level, video resolution has been cropped and now finishes in Full HD. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a good smartphone, but apart from the 5G module there are no real advantages over the previous model. The price-performance ratio is correct.
