Jason Ronald, Xbox director of project management, has both confirmed that the Xbox Series X / S video capture and sharing capabilities still have a long way to go, while also confirming that getting them right is a priority for the team .

As reported by VGC, Ronald talked about that Iron Lords Podcast and asked if the company continues to focus on enhancing the game DVR / in-game recording capabilities of the Xbox Series X / S.

“I’ll definitely say that Game DVR is the only area – capturing and sharing experiences – that I wish we could make more progress [on] this year when we could, “replied Ronald. “That is definitely our priority.

Ronald also recommended that people get the Xbox Insider Program, because this is where the team is testing new features and improvements and is a great place to hear their feedback.

“You know, the best I can recommend is when you’re not in that [Xbox] Insider Rings, join the Insider Rings so that when we bring in new skills and improvements, we let this feedback know where we hit the bar and where we don’t hit the bar, ”said Ronald. “But definitely, message heard, and like I said, it’s definitely an area I wish we could make more progress this year than we did, but it will definitely be a 2022 priority. “

Ronald announced that the team heard the complaints in January 2021 and as with many things, these problems can take some time to resolve.
