What’s going on at Aldi? The new range is a mystery

In Aldi’s online store you can currently find tools from the Batavia brand. Specifically: a cordless impact drill with charger and battery, a cordless drill with and without charger and battery, as well as separate batteries of different capacities and the appropriate individual charger.

Which is surprising: in recent years, the Aldi twins have always sold cordless tools from the Ferrex brand, which all came with the same batteries and thus made it possible to build up a fleet of inexpensive hobby craftsman’s tools which got by with a charger. Is it over now? Because Ferrex cordless tools are currently searched in vain on the Aldi store site.

We asked the press services of Aldi Süd and Nord and got the following answer, both of which agreed:

“We continue to offer batteries and products from the Ferrex brand. Ferrex is and will remain our own brand of power tools. The offer in our ALDI online shop should be seen as a complementary offer.”

Customers who own Ferrex tools need not worry that batteries or chargers will no longer be available in the future.
