Visual Effects Artist shows what it would be like to fall into a black hole

Space is fascinating to many of us, but many of its secrets we will probably never experience firsthand. Fortunately, thanks to advancing technology, you can now see an approach to stepping into one of space’s greatest curiosities: the black hole. This is because a new 360 degree video shows what it could be like to fall into a black hole.

the Nerdist reports that French visual effects artist Alessandro Roussel created the experience to show people what it would be like in a black hole. Roussel used so-called general relativity calculations to create the graphics.

When you watch the video, it looks like you are driving through a bright tunnel of blue and white light towards a black hole. If you see the footage for yourself and it doesn’t look like you’re actually stepping into the black hole, it’s because the light in a black hole is expanding in front of you.

As for the last thing you would see in a black hole, Roussel says you would see yourself on a lightless planet surrounded by a circle of light before being compressed by the black hole. It’s pretty tough if you ask us.
