The Witcher: Blood Origin, the upcoming prequel starring Michelle Yeoh, has a brand new trailer filled with swords, shields and loads of other high fantasy action.
The trailer made the rounds on social media last Friday after falling at the end of The Witcher’s credits. Short in story and long in action, it features Yeoh and various other characters in a variety of battles.
The video arrived on the official channels today. You can check it out below.
The Witcher: Blood Origin is a prequel set 1200 years before the events of the Netflix show. It will focus on how the first Witcher was created, with a cast that includes Viking alum Laurence O’Fuarain. Jodie Turner-Smith previously starred, but they left just before filming began.
Earlier this year, Netflix offered a behind-the-scenes look at the new prequel series by showing a table from the first episode. The episode is written by Declan De Barra and directed by Sarah O’Gorman.
Meanwhile, The Witcher has just launched its second season on Netflix. You can read our review here where we call it an undeniable improvement, but note that it is still affected by uneven pace and other issues.
