Stiftung Warentest tested 19 olive oils in the categories sensory judgment, chemical quality, harmful substances, packaging friendliness and declaration.
The most expensive product in the test ended up in first place – and thus on the podium of the test winners. brand olive oil Crudo was rated 1.9 (good) and was recommended by Stiftung Warentest as an oil for special occasions. With a price of 36.00 euros per litre, this refines Be Cinque Zero Olio extra virgin olive cold dishes like salad and antipasti.
According to the manufacturer, the oil comes from southern Italy and is extracted from the Coratina olive variety. With a taste reminiscent of green almonds and green apples, the oil from the Schiralli family also convinced the testers in this category.
