Stiftung Warentest: Cheap honey is the test winner

In the “test” issue 02/2019, Stiftung Warentest examined 36 types of honey from different price ranges, including branded products such as Langnese, but also cheap discount products. The testers did not focus on one type, but different types of honey were examined: acacia honey, rapeseed honey, forest honey and wildflower honey. Overall, the result is sobering: none of the products tested scored “very good”, and one out of four honeys even failed. The reason: in many products, the proportion of harmful substances was borderline high.
