Slow seller or insider tip? That’s what the Apple iPhone 14 Plus does

During the test, the Apple iPhone 14 Plus shows almost the same measurement results as the normal iPhone 14 (for the test). No wonder – it differs from the “standard” iPhone only in screen size and battery size.

Texts on the huge 6.7-inch OLED display can be read comfortably even in difficult lighting conditions thanks to rich contrasts and high maximum brightness. Unfortunately, the screen only offers a refresh rate of 60 Hertz. The iPhone 14 Plus feels slower than the Pro models when scrolling and smearing effects can become noticeable.

Apple does not install the current processor in the iPhone 14 Plus, but relies on the A15 Bionic, which was already used in the iPhone 13 models. The processor also ensures extremely solid performance in the Plus model. The performance is more than enough for all the applications and games that can be found in the App Store.

The 12-megapixel dual camera has also been carried over from the predecessor. So we didn’t notice any significant changes in image quality from the main camera during the test. Those who focus on the camera should therefore take a look at the top models iPhone 14 Pro (for testing) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (for testing). Because Apple is installing a new 48-megapixel main sensor here.

The rest of the equipment is impressive: the iPhone 14 Plus shows a very long battery life during the test. The battery (4325 mAh capacity) lasted a very long time 17:51 in the endurance test with a fixed display brightness (200 candelas per square meter), including Internet browsing in the LTE network. And the case is IP68 certified, which means it’s proven to be dustproof and waterproof.
