Skyrim Speedrunner Nucular broke its own world record for going through Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and completed the story in just an hour and 12 minutes. All the more impressive that this speed run was completed without any breakdowns.

As reported by PCGamer, you can watch the complete Nucular Speedrun on Youtube. Nucular has also detailed its speed running strategies in the comments section of its video. For example, he plays as high elves because they have the highest movement speed.

According to the sister site of IGN How long to hit, it takes 33 and a half hours to complete the main story. So the new Nucular record is significantly faster.

Skyrim is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month and speed running has been part of the game’s community from the very beginning. Prior to the November 2011 launch, Bethesda employees held an internal competition to see who could finish the game the fastest. The winner finished the game in 2 hours, 16 minutes and 10 seconds. After 10 years, Nucular was able to almost halve this original time with its new world record.

Speaking of the game’s tenth anniversary, Bethesda recently released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, which includes new and existing Creation Club content.
