Simple explanation: This is why clothing sizes vary

When shopping in different European countries, information may vary significantly. If a German size 40 fits you, you need an Italian size 46 for the dress to fit. For our French neighbors, this would correspond to size 42.

The American system, in which clothing sizes are given from XS to XXXL, is now also widespread.

But there are also differences in the German system. If you buy women’s trousers in size 21, this corresponds to the width of a 42, but is significantly shorter. These are called short sizes.

The fashion of Asian brands is generally very small. Indeed, Asians are on average shorter and shorter than Europeans. It is therefore usually worth trying on clothes in several sizes when shopping.
