A recently discovered bug in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl allows players to clone rare Pokémon at high speed.

As reported by Kotaku, PanFro games explains how the latest duplication bug works. According to the video, this exploit allows you to clone entire boxes of Pokémon and the items inside them. Since a box can hold up to 30 Pokémon at a time, this is a pretty valuable mistake.

For the bug to work you need to have several empty PC boxes that would normally be filled with Pokémon. The glitch is linked to a previously discovered exploit known as the Menu Screen Glitch, which involves pressing certain buttons on a Pokémon’s summary screen.

Then when you enter the PC box that you want to clone, you can clone the entire box, all elements and everything by pressing a certain key sequence. If you want to try this maneuver for yourself, PanFro Games goes through the entire process Youtube. Unlike other recent exploits, there is no risk of losing any of your items in the process.

Nintendo put out a considerable amount 3GB patch This fixes issues that were highlighted prior to launch when the games were leaked. So assuming a fix is in the works, we’ll have to wait and see how long this in-game exploit is possible.

We called the game series great in our Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl review and said, “If a good remake is loyalty to the original, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are indeed very good remakes.”
