Photos with retro charm: the best instant cameras from the CHIP laboratory

In the CHIP test lab, we took a closer look at a total of ten instant cameras – the price range was between 70 and 300 euros.

Our test winner is the Fujifilm instax mini Evo for around 200 euros. The number one in the ranking also has a lot to offer for its high price: the compact instant camera with a large display takes very good quality photos. It has many creative and photo functions, and in addition, the instax mini Evo saves photos to internal memory or a micro SD card – which means that it is not strictly speaking a pure camera instant photo in the classic sense of the term.

Our price advice also comes from Fujifilm: the instax mini 11 for a price of around 70 euros. It offers good image quality, is very easy to use and is inexpensive to purchase. For the price, however, you have to make concessions compared to the test winner: there is no self-timer or creative or correction functions.
