Pesticides in fruit tea: Edeka receives a score of 6
Experts have even found several pesticides in Rossmann’s Sweet Rosehip King’s Crown Fruit Tea: Not only is the value of cypermethrin increased here, but there are also traces of three other pesticides in the tea. This includes glyphosate: the pesticide can not only cause birth defects, miscarriages and infertility, but also promote diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, depression and cancer. In the test, Rossmann tea always gets a “good enough” score.
The situation is even worse for the following two teas: Edeka’s Gut & Billig Colored Fruit Tea fails with a rating of 6. Here the levels of cypermethrin and carbaryl are high and the lab also finds another pesticide in the tea. It also rained the worst rating for the Every Day Rosehip Hibiscus. Not only is the value of chlorpyrifos very high here, but experts are also detecting traces of glyphosate there.
