One of the biggest video game and pop culture conventions is returning to Boston in 2022, live and in person.
ReedPop has announced that PAX East 2022 will be held in Boston, Massachusetts from Thursday, April 21 through Sunday, April 24. Further details on the event will follow shortly. As always, it will probably take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
In addition, ReedPop assumes that all participants in PAX East 2022 are fully vaccinated and must present proof of vaccination upon entry. Masks are also required for all participants, including cosplayers, exhibitors, guests, artists, executors and employees.

Sanitary and hygienic standards will be increased, and physical distancing will be taken into account in the design of the congress. Interestingly, the PAX is East Health and Safety Policy Page does not mention the possibility of submitting a negative COVID-19 test like at PAX West 2021, so full vaccination appears to be the only way to participate.
After over a year of moving to virtual events, PAX returned as a personal event for PAX West 2021 in Seattle, Washington. Originally, the convention didn’t have a vaccine or negative COVID-19 test requirements, but eventually implemented it after receiving criticism. It definitely looks like ReedPop wants to avoid this situation again.
In similar news last month, ReedPop announced that it would be closing PAX South for the foreseeable future due to stagnant growth.
