Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will soon be adding crossplay during an upcoming update. In addition, it was teased that voice acting was coming into the game.
During one recently Hungrybox Stream, Art Director Diego Hernández spoke about a number of announcements and requested features to be added to All-Star Brawl in the coming months.
Although a specific date has not yet been confirmed, Hernández stated that crossplay will enter the game in the first quarter of 2022. The feature allows all-star brawl players who own the game on all available platforms – PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S – to battle their friends regardless of who whether they both play on the same type of device or not.
“We wanted to start with crossplay,” said Hernández in an interview. “But we came to the conclusion that we had to wait a little longer to refine some details. We just tested the waters and saw the network code and everything work before we introduce crossplay so I think it’s finally here. “For that so we’re confident and it will be out soon.”
While Hernández harshly confirmed the introduction of crossplay into the game, it also appears that the game will add voice acting in a future update as well. While not officially confirmed, Hernández stated that the development team currently has another popular fan-requested feature in the works.
“All I can say is that we HEARD your requests and we HEAR what you are talking about.” This teaser was followed by another developer update on the game’s subreddit, which said, “We have HEARING your requests and are making sure you are HEARING from us soon.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hernández announced that the game will get its final free DLC character “in the near future,” as well as a host of other (likely paid) content coming to the game next year. The new character comes just shortly after the All-Star Brawl released its first free DLC character, Garfield. Before Garfield’s arrival, rumors circulated speculating that fans might not play as the legendary lasagne-eating cat on Mondays – according to his remarkable disdain for the day – but which turned out to be untrue.
