In the years 1978-1991, Dahmer killed a total of 17 men and boys from the local Milwaukee gay community. He lured her to his apartment on a pretext, drugged her and raped her. He then cut up his victims and kept parts of them in his apartment. He threw the corpses in the trash, which no one seemed to notice for years. He first murdered in his grandmother’s house, later in his own apartment.
Neighbors complained of shouting and loud power tools, but police showed little interest in investigating. The trailer for “Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer” already shows the neighbors confronting Dahmer and also contacting the police. But how could these terrible acts have remained unknown for so long?
