Netflix literally ends ‘Blockbuster’ a second time

The concept of the series seemed promising and the cast was also impressive, after all, with Randall Park and Melissa Fumero, they had found two stars who had already celebrated great success with “WandaVision” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”. In fact, the show didn’t chart in the top 10 on Netflix in the US, nor did it make it in Europe. It was only in Australia that “Blockbuster” entered the top ten series.

Rotten Tomatoes’ reviews were also sobering, with one reviewer writing: “‘Blockbuster’, while far too ordinary to be actively offensive, is nonetheless made more disappointing by its lack of unique ambition, and instead settles for being a clone of other top quality shows.”

So it leaves a bitter aftertaste that Netflix has managed to destroy blockbusters in two ways. Add to that poor production that led to a quick end after just one season. If you still want to get an idea: “Blockbuster” is available on Netflix.
