The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to devouring great Hollywood talent for its growing hero cast, and Keanu Reeves certainly seems poised to join the MCU in the future following new comments from the series star and John Wick.
“It would be an honor [to join the MCU]”Said Reeves esquire in a new interview. “There are some really great directors and visionaries out there and they do something that no one has really done before. In that sense, it’s something special in terms of scope, ambition, production. So it would be cool to be a part of that. “
Any MCU actor who has won an Oscar
It’s not all speculative chatter, either. In 2019, when Reeves experienced a second renaissance with the release of John Wick 3: Parabellum, said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios Marvel had spoken to Reeves “for almost every film we make.”
“I don’t know when, if or ever he will join the MCU, but we really want to find the right path,” said Feige. Feige reportedly drew a comparison between Reeves and Jake Gyllenhaal, who was approached for several Marvel roles before eventually signing up to play Mysterio in the second Tom Holland Spider-Man film.
In the meantime, you can catch Keanu Reeves in the upcoming DC League of Super Pets, where he plays a currently unknown role. Check out the brand new trailer above.
