The situation is less encouraging for well-known brands such as Langnese, Dennree or Glück. They all fail with the grade “unsatisfactory” (grade 6). The reason: luck Creamy Rapeseed Flower Honey the lab finds increased levels of pesticides for acetamiprid and thiacloprid as well as traces of the pesticide carbendazim.

Additionally, increased hydroxymethylfurfural values indicate that the honey has been heated, so it is no longer natural. ÖKO-TEST also points out the following with Dennree honey: “According to the supplier’s report for the finished product of the same batch, no syrup markers could be detected. According to the supplier’s report for the raw material and comments correspondents of the supplier, a marker could be identified, which in honeys from Mexico and Cuba is often positive and was probably of natural origin.However, the laboratory we commissioned was able to exclude that the positive finding in the product that we examined was based on said marker substance.
Experts have found dirt in Langnese honey. In the sediment subcategory, the verdict is therefore not good: “slightly brownish background, weakly typical of the costume, strong contamination”, according to the verdict.
