Hardly anyone does: A simple trick frees up your cell phone’s memory

Basically, caching is a useful technology – apps use it to store frequently accessed data in the background, such as websites. This means that this data does not have to be downloaded again each time. However, over time, a large amount of data accumulates on the smartphone. Browser apps such as Chrome or Opera and social media are particularly affected and often have caches of several GB. If you delete them from time to time, a lot of storage space will be freed up.

To clear an app’s cache, go to its info page in Settings. There you will find an entry indicating the storage space used by the application. Click on this one. Then you can see the cache size and you can clear it with one click.
