Final Fantasy 7 Remake PlayStation Plus version will finally get a free PS5 upgrade this week

Those who redeemed Final Fantasy VII Remake on PlayStation Plus back in March 2021 can finally upgrade to the PS5 version of the game at no additional cost on Wednesday December 22nd.

Square Enix revealed the news on Twitter While simultaneously sharing that Final Fantasy VII Remake’s episode break starring Yuffie Kisaragi is 25% off for a limited time on the same day.

When it was announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake would become PlayStation Plus in March 2021, many were surprised and upset to find out that it was only the PS4 version. Additionally, those who downloaded it couldn’t upgrade to the PS5 version, which came with improved textures, fog effects, better lighting, faster load times, a new photo mode, DualSense support, and more.

This also meant that gamers couldn’t buy Episode Intermission to play Yuffie’s new story, since it’s not even available to PS4 owners.

Combat and fun side activities. “

This news comes shortly after the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake on PC. Unfortunately, the port appears to be having some serious issues, including limited graphics options, stuttering, and frame rate issues, and more.
