Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster finally has a release date

The most anticipated release of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster finally has a release date, although unfortunately for Final Fantasy fans it won’t be out before 2022.

In a social media post, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster will hit the market early next year. The release has been postponed from 2021 to add some extra shine.

“In order to give you the best possible experience, we give ourselves the necessary time to put the finishing touches on while development of the game is completed,” read the social media post.

The delay seems to be drawing lessons from the previous Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, which were generally well received but still required multiple patches to fix various bugs. This is on top of the ongoing complications from the COVID-19 pandemic.
