By far one of the most desirable gadgets to buy right now is the PlayStation 5, but if you’ve kept up with the news, you know that Sony’s new console is in high demand and in short supply. So many people have searched for (and struggled with) a PS5 that even a figure as prominent as Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City director Johannes Roberts is struggling to buy one.

The subject was brought up during an interview with IGN where we asked Roberts about his favorite Resident Evil game, which he called the Resident Evil 2 remake. Roberts also mentioned other Resident Evil games like Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, but admits he hasn’t played Resident Evil Village, which was released earlier that year.

PS5 console first look, size comparison

Why? Because Roberts wants to experience the game on a PS5 and not on his PS4.

“I don’t, and if you have power in this world, you will let that happen for me. I haven’t played [Resident Evil] Village because I can’t. and you’d have thought, Resident Evil director, I can’t get a PlayStation 5 anywhere, “Roberts told IGN.” And I don’t play it on mine [PlayStation] 4; I want to play it on that [PlayStation] 5. ”

Roberts, like many others who haven’t yet received a PS5, aren’t the only ones struggling to buy one. Even Jason Kelley, the actor who played protagonist Colt Vahn in Deathloop, had a hard time Find the console so he could play the game he was playing in (Bethesda eventually helped him secure a PS5 soon after the game was released).

Of course, Roberts’ trouble buying a PS5 wasn’t the only thing we talked about. In our interview with the director, we also had a spoiler discussion about the ending of Welcome to Raccoon City along with some scenes that didn’t make it into the movie, including a scene where Chris Redfield’s actor would have hit a boulder.
