Economical alternatives to the Thermomix and Co.: With these kitchen utensils, every recipe is a success

Especially in the cold season, a warming stew tastes twice as good. Stews are particularly easy to prepare in kitchen appliances with cooking function. Below is a popular stew recipe.

Ingredients for four people:

  • an onion
  • 20 grams of rapeseed oil
  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • 500g vegetables (e.g. carrots, broccoli or cauliflower)
  • about 1300 g of water
  • 2 teaspoons soup base (or broth)
  • 150g frozen peas
  • 1 jar of Wiener sausages
  • 2 sprigs of finely chopped parsley

Wash the remaining potatoes and vegetables, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.

Peel the onions and use your kitchen appliance to chop them at speed 5-6.

Add the oil and sauté the onions at speed 1 for 2-3 minutes.

Now add the potatoes, water and vegetable stock and cook the stew at 100 degrees for 10 minutes.

Now add the remaining vegetables and a little later the peas and simmer for another 8 minutes.

Optionally add the sliced ​​sausages and season the stew with salt.

Point: If you don’t like large chunks of vegetables in your stew, you can just use the kitchen appliance to chop them up.
