Dust off the PlayStation 5: Get the popular console here

  • with training 499.99 euros
  • in digital edition (without Blu-ray player) 399.99 euros

In fact, the console is currently hardly available at this price. Resellers in particular ask for exorbitant prices of 1,000 euros and more. However, the prices are slowly coming down, as you can sometimes get the PS5 for around $700 – that’s still way above the RRP, but at least not that extreme.

Reading Tip: We explained what the different versions are and what benefits they offer in our in-depth PS5 test.

The pre-order process for the PlayStation 5 was pretty chaotic, with the console nearly impossible to get anywhere for weeks.

As of the official November 19 release date, the console was back in stock at select retailers. But as expected, this contingent was quickly exhausted, and Amazon and Co.’s servers sometimes went to their knees. Many customers left empty-handed. According to the statements of the boss of Sony, all Sony consoles are currently out of stock.

If you’re interested in a PlayStation 5, we recommend the following: Check regularly online at larger retailers to see if pre-orders or purchases are possible again. The corresponding links to the shops can be found below. As soon as one of the dealers announces a new wave of sales, you will know about it here.

We advise against buying overpriced consoles on Ebay and Co. Better to wait for the next official wave of sales and save several hundred euros.

Important: At this time, there are no PS5 consoles available at local retailer branches. This is to avoid any accumulation of people in times of Corona. You can only buy online – you can find a list of stores here. However, thanks to “Click and Collect”, you can in many cases order your goods online and collect them in store.
