Dune, Spider-Man shortlisted Oscar for best visual effects in 2022


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced its shortlists for various categories in the run-up to the 94th Academy Awards, including the best visual effects.

The visual effects category is filled with blockbuster films like Dune, Spider-Man: No Way Home and No Time to Die. The MCU dominates the list with all four of their last year’s feature films shortlisted, including the first Phase 4 film, Black Widow, with Scarlett Johansson in the title role.
