Doja Cat & Others named Spotify’s Top 50 Artists in 2021

2021 was a good music year for women, especially when it comes to streaming! Music was one of the things we could all look forward to to create positive vibes during the pandemic. With the end of the year fast approaching, we had to show some love for some of the female artists who topped Spotify’s Top 50 Female Artists of 2021 list! Some of your favorites are on the list including Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.
As you know, Spotify their “wrapped” list of the best artists, albums, songs, podcasts, and more who have defined how more than 381 million people around the world hear and discover audio. According to Chart data, Taylor Swift topped the year-end charts for the first time. However, she’s in good company with Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Karol G, and Adele who landed in the top ten.

The rappers held their own on the list, with Nicki Minaj at 15, Megan Thee Stallion at 16, Cardi B at 21, and Saweetie at 41. Though the girls held it back when streaming, Spotify also recognized Puerto Rican reggaeton star Bad Bunny. For the second time in a row, Bunny has taken on the title of the world’s most streamed artist on the platform. He has received over 9.1 billion streams without releasing a new album this year! Bunny is followed by Taylor Swift, BTS, Drake and Justin Beiber which ends the list! Congratulations to all of the artists who received awards this year.
