Disney + is slowly stacking the cast for its upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka. In addition to Rosario Dawson’s title character, Natasha Liu Bordizzo was cast as Sabine Wren from the animated Star Wars Rebels series.
Corresponding meeting, Liu Bordizzo was cast alongside Dawson’s Ahsoka, which means Sabine Wren could star in the upcoming live-action series.
Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian warrior who was first featured in Star Wars Rebels. She is a member of the Ghost crew alongside Captain Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger and Garazeb Orrelios.
At the end of Rebels, she went with Ahsoka Tano to look for Ezra, which could determine how Wren will appear on Ahsoka given the shared history of the two characters.

Disney’s Ahsoka series is slated to begin production in early 2022. In addition to Sabine Wren, Hayden Christiansen is set to resume his role as Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader.
Ahsoka is written by Star Wars Rebels co-creator Dave Filoni, who brings several of his animated Star Wars protagonists into the live action.
Filoni was also behind the creation of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s padawan during the Clone Wars. The character made her live action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian.
