Costly mistake when scraping the car window: which can lead to a high fine
Anyone who violates the public traffic ban commits an administrative offense punishable by a fine of 80 euros. On private property, however, a violation can be punished according to the State Immission Control Act (LImSchG) due to environmental pollution caused by the exhaust gases produced.
The respective countries themselves determine the amount of the corresponding fines, which can be significantly higher in certain cases.
