CES 2022 schedule, announcements and guides

CES 2022 is surprisingly well on its way to becoming a personal event, running January 5-8. The annual tech fair will still be a huge event with the latest in TVs, automotive, laptops, personal computers, and a host of other devices. However, since many large exhibitors such as Sony, Samsung, AMD, Intel, Amazon, Google and Microsoft are all withdrawing from the fair, this will again be a mainly online show. This all means, of course, that it will be much easier for you to keep up to date on CES 2022 from the comfort of your home. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming tech conference.

When is CES 2022?

CES 2022 will take place from Wednesday January 5th to Friday January 7th. Originally the show was scheduled until Saturday, January 8th, but the show’s organizers make a day shorter due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

Everything announced at CES 2022

Samsung gaming cloud

Samsung is making it a bit easier to play games with the plethora of cloud gaming services we have today by introducing a new cloud gaming hub in its televisions. To be clear, Samsung is not announcing its own cloud gaming service, but rather a repository that users can easily access Nvidia’s GeForce Now, Google stadiums, and Utomik

What can we expect from CES 2022?

CES is a huge show for televisions, so expect the latest models from LG, Samsung, Hisense, TCL, Sony, and more. Mini-LED TVs and brighter OLED panels were introduced last year and we expect these technologies to penetrate even more models.

Intel, AMD, and Nvidia are expected to make big announcements at CES 2022. Intel has released its 12th generation desktop processors and we expect the company to follow suit with its mobile CPUs. AMD also traditionally announced its latest generation of laptop processors at CES 2022 and we expect this pattern to continue. There are many rumors that Nvidia will introduce a new high-end graphics card with the RTX 3090 Ti.

Of course, along with all of the core chip manufacturers, CES is generally a laptop show, so expect lots of new models from Asus, Samsung, LG, MSI, HP, Lenovo, and Acer. Many of these laptops are likely to run on the latest Intel and AMD mobile processors as well.
