CD Projekt Red has gradually moved on to new projects while also supporting Cyberpunk 2077. The studio is also making more resources available to work on expanding the game.

In CD Projekt Reds Earnings report for the third quarter, it shows that the majority of the company was still supporting Cyberpunk 2077 as of the end of September this year. Now CD Projekt is focused on the upcoming expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 along with Gwent-related projects and projects with Spokko, another studio under the CD Projekt umbrella.

Additionally, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are still on track for their respective releases in Q1 and Q2 of 2022. This new version of The Witcher 3 will too Contain additional elements inspired by the Netflix adaptation of the series. They were both originally due to be released in the second half of this year, but have been postponed to 2022.

CD Projekt will continue to support Gwent with more regular updates and content drops. A detailed roadmap for the 2022 releases will be unveiled during the Gwent Masters season three finale on December 5th. Spokko’s augmented reality game The Witcher: Monster Slayer is underway to improve its storage and monetization.

CD Projekt also mentions its Vancouver office and the recent acquisition of Molasses Flood as they will be working on future projects for the company. Molasses Flood was acquired last month and the studio announced that they are working on their own brand new project based on one of CD Projekt’s IPs.

It is currently unclear what the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will be and whether it could implement something like multiplayer. We just have to wait until next year.
