Sledgehammer Games has disabled the Secrets of the Pacific event in Call of Duty: Vanguard – which is giving players details on Warzone Pacific’s new Caldera map – due to “widespread crash issues.”

Secrets of the Pacific is a crossover event between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone and features challenges that, when completed, reveal more about the Caldera and its sights. While Warzone doesn’t appear to be affected, Vanguard players have reported that it causes widespread crashes.

Sledge hammer announced that the Secrets of Pacific event will be disabled while it works to “fix this bug”. Although no return schedule was given, it was promised that any progress made in the event will not be lost and that players will be able to pick up where they left off once the issue is resolved.

This and many more events all lead to the launch of the first season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and the Warzone Pacific caldera map on December 8, 2021. Those who own Vanguard can try the new map 24 hours earlier before it becomes available is available to all Warzone players starting December 9th.

Even with Verdansk ’84 disappearing, Caldera seeks to bring a breath of fresh air to Warzone with picturesque beaches and mountains that offer players new landscapes to enjoy as they work to be the last thing left.

In addition to the first season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific’s caldera map, Activision is also preparing to release Ricochet, its own anti-cheat initiative specifically designed for Call of Duty. This new “multi-layered approach” aims to combat fraud involving monitors at the kernel level and is required to play Call of Duty: Warzone on the PC.
