Avatar 2: Jake and Neytiri started a family, including an adopted human

After the rescue of the moon from Pandora, what’s left but to have a couple of kids and settle down? At least that’s one question James Cameron’s Avatar 2 settles on. In a new interview with producer Jon Landau (Titanic, Avatar) rich reported on new details about the new mixed breed family of the former people Jake and Na’vi Neytiris.

The new family includes three Na’vi children named Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss), Lo’ak (Britain Dalton). More importantly, the couple also adopted a human son named Miles Sorocco AKA “Spider”, played by Jack Champion. Check out an official teaser pic of Spider in the tweet below.

This mixed-race dynamic is reportedly going to play a major role in the family conflict in Avatar 2.

“Jake took him in, but Neytiri always saw him as one of the people who destroyed their home and killed their father,” Landau told Empire. “So you have all of these dynamics going on.”

Landau also compared family makeup to real multiracial families learning how to deal with racial problems in society.

“When you look at what Jim does in his films, he writes on universal subjects that are larger than the genre of any single film,” Landau said. ‚ÄúThis time we take Jake and Neytiri and build the most universal theme of all around them. What is family. Jake comes from the human world, Neytiri from the Na’vi world. So they are like a modern multiracial couple raising children who may feel they don’t belong in one world or another. “

Avatar 2 will be released on December 16, 2022, after 13 years of production and various delays. We took a very similar look at the Spider character last week as the Official Avatar Twitter account and EW have posted four new photos from the film set, one of which included Jack Champion partially submerged in water, taking Cameron’s instructions.

The shooting of Avatar 2 and 3 was already completed in September of this year. Avatar 3 is slated to be released on December 20, 2024, Avatar 4 in December 2026 and Avatar 5 in December 2028. Ubisoft plans to release it sometime in 2022 Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a video game adaptation, a first-person open-world action-adventure game.
