Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection – which includes Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations – will be available for $ 39.99 on Nintendo Switch on February 17, 2022.
Switch owners will soon be able to experience the full Ezio Auditore da Firenze story in one complete package, and this collection will “take full advantage of the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch, including
advanced features like handheld mode, HD Rumble, touchscreen interface and optimized HUD. “
In addition, all solo DLCs will be available along with two short films – Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers – that “delve even deeper into Ezio’s story”.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection was first released in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in our review we said, “Ezio’s trilogy helped make Assassin’s Creed the huge franchise it is today thanks to its fantastic stories, fantastic Characters and beautiful world structures. And while all of these are still in the Ezio collection, the lack of meaningful improvements and any substantial bonus content makes it a difficult combination to recommend. “
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection joins Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection – which also includes Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue – as the only games in the franchise on Nintendo’s newest system.
Hopefully it does better than Assassin’s Creed III on Switch, as our review found it was “an ugly mess that looks little better than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and still runs kind of worse”.
