Netflix and Riot Games have officially announced that the second season of the League of Legends animated series Arcane is on the way.

While there weren’t many details about this new season, it has been confirmed that Hailee Steinfeld’s Vi, Ella Purnell’s Jinx and Caitlyn Kiramman will repeat their roles for this continuing story. Their voices were featured in a short teaser that was released along with the announcement of the second season.

This news shouldn’t be too surprising considering that Arcane has been received overwhelmingly positively since it premiered on November 6, 2021. It is also currently ranked # 2 on Netflix’s global top 10 list of English-language TV shows.

We also praised Arcane in our review and gave it a rare 10/10 score by saying, “Arcane is the first video game adaptation that is truly a masterpiece and breaks new ground in the possibilities of TV animation.”

Season 2 of Arcane is brought to us by Riot Games and Fortiche Productions is returning for its animation. The series was created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and Linke will serve as executive producer alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu.

“We look forward to the positive response Arcane first season and working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second part, “said Arcane Co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.

If that’s not enough Arcane excitement, Riot is currently premiering with a month-long celebration of all of its biggest games in an event called RiotX Arcane. These celebrations include free arcane skins in League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra will add a new permanent mode called The Path of Champions, Valorant is offering a free RiotX Arcane Pass, and much more.
