The doctor’s office sends the sickness report electronically to the statutory health insurance fund. The employer can then access it digitally directly from the health insurance fund. Important: The following also applies to employees: You must inform your employer of your illness.
As a rule, the employer can no longer demand a certificate of incapacity for work from legally insured persons, he must call it digitally from the communication server of the compulsory health insurance funds. To do this, he must transmit various information, such as name, date of birth, insurance number and company number.
