After years of lack of chips: manufacturers can no longer get rid of their products

As a result of the Corona crisis, the demand for electronic devices for home office and leisure has exploded. Additionally, there has been a boom in crypto mining, which has also increased the demand for graphics cards in particular. However, production and delivery have stagnated due to global lockdowns. As a result, there were bottlenecks and long wait times for many devices, especially due to the global shortage of chips.

In the meantime, however, the tide has turned. As the “Wall Street Journal” reports, the warehouses of a number of chipmakers are now full. Inventories are at their highest level in ten years. Many growers have to lay off staff as sales drop sharply.
