One thing that always sets Battlefield apart from its competitors like Call of Duty is the over the top gadgets related to tanks, planes, and helicopters that you can hire.

But in Battlefield 2042, players will find that these gimmicks are difficult to tackle on foot due to the limited toolbox of anti-vehicle weapons available. In fact, a reddit user walks by SheroxXx found that the NWT-50 sniper rifle can kill a tank significantly faster than the recoilless M5, which was specially developed by the developers as an anti-tank weapon.

One of the main factors seems to be rate of fire, with the NWT being able to fire much faster than the M5. In fact, it can take out a tank almost twice as fast. It’s also more forgiving, as missing a shot or two still leaves a pretty decent amount of damage in the magazine. As user DovahBornKing points out in the comments, tanks will need at least four missiles to kill them, even from behind, in 2042, and you can only carry three without refilling. This is to make tanks feel really scary, but it doesn’t feel particularly balanced when you’re walking around

The NWT takes a long time to unlock, but typically late game sniper rifles aren’t twice as good as a rocket launcher. Ideally, unlocks should give you more options and new ways to play. In this situation, the M5 feels like a wet pasta thrower that you have to use until you can unlock a real anti-tank cannon, and it makes sure that once you have access to the NWT, there really is no play style niche for our poor, recoilless friend.

This situation follows the fact that Battlefield 2042 is currently one of the most played as well as the worst rated games on Steam. Missing features from previous games in the series, such as: B. Tanks, which, as mentioned above, do not take any additional damage from the rear or sides, are among the most common complaints. Everyone wants to play the new Battlefield so often that the many startup issues didn’t keep them from getting in, but they’re such a constant distraction that over 30,000 people took the time to post their own cautionary stories for potential buyers.

How do you deal with tanks in Battlefield 2042? We have a few tips that might be helpful in our Battlefield 2042 Wiki Guide.
