60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty: Germany and France offer 60,000 train tickets

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, Germany and France have agreed to offer 60,000 train tickets. The catch is that these should only be given to people under the age of 27.

The aim of the campaign is to promote train travel on the one hand and cultural exchange on the other. Similar to an Interrail ticket, youngsters should be able to use the tickets to explore the other country.
